ONE OF THE VERY FIRST CERTIFIED home compostable
In 2022 the Truly Eco brand were one of the first in Australia to be Certified Home Compostable to Australian Standard (AS5810) with many other brands following suit.
HOW CAN YOU TELL THE DIFFERENCE? You will see the offical logo printed on our cups, it is given to Australian Certified Home Compostable products that go through stringent testing to make sure minimal waste is left is behind and that microorganisms and worms are happy and healthy after its gone.

Additional to our Nationally recognised certification, local composters including Gold Coast Seed the Ground and Brisbane In the Loop have put them to the test for us breaking down naturally in approx 4 weeks.

Our coffee cups are proudly apart of the Truly Eco brand, the latest manufacturing technology called Aqueous or Water-based. This coating is actually sprayed onto the cup meaning it breaks down with the paper leaving no residue or lining behind, making them the perfect Home Compostable cup.
Previously PLA (bioplastic) and PE (plastic) were created with a lining that was left behind when the paper cup broke down. It made recycling hard as the lining is unable to be removed from the paper easily, much like long life milk cartons. PLA is industrially compostable meaning they do need to be collected and taken to a specialised facility.

Our Take away Coffee Cups are proudly accepted in the current South Australia and Western Australia plastic bans.
Here is the only difference:
WA - You can proudly use all of our coffee/cold cups and sugarcane hot lids (plus straws of course) (only our Paper cold lid and PP Recyclable lids are banned and will not be shipped to your state)
SA - You can proudly use all of our coffee/cold cups as well as our Sugarcane lids and Paper cold lids. (plus straws of course) (only our PP Recyclable lids are banned and will not be shipped to your state)
